Ibiza and Formentera
have many surrounding islands with a different dive condition at
each dive site, rocky bottoms wall dives as well as caves, along
with prairies of poseidonia.
Its fauna is made up of a varied group of species such as barracudas, grouper, scorpion fish, golden lines, bream brótolas, and congo and moray eels, Norway lobsters and lobsters, pulpy and sepias, corvinas and nudibranqueos and many other varieties of species. You can observe them as solitary individuals or very often in numerous groups.
"Las Pitiuses", (another
name for Ibiza and Formentera), is an islands with a privileged
situation. Because of its separation from the peninsular coast
and lacking rivers it also lacks contamination, it is for this
reason why the visibility at any moment is exceptional with an
average of 30 meters and a maximum of 40.
As far as the
temperature of the water and also thanks to its situation, Ibiza
water temperature oscillates between the 17 º C in the winter
and the 27 º C in the summer. It is in the summer that we mainly
dive and it is sufficient to equip yourself with a wetsuit of 5
mm, although at the height of the season a 3 mm shorty is
sufficient.
When we speak of Ibiza and
Formentera, we often only have one image, that of celebration
and discos (and there is none better). Apart from the discos
Ibiza waters are excellent and apart from diving you can enjoy a
large variety of watersports.
